What we calculate – and what we don’t

The scale shows the manufacturer’s published weight. PadelTrue’s illustrative felt-weight estimate multiplies it by balance, body-profile and discomfort factors, then rounds to 5 g. Balance: low 0.97, medium or unknown 1.00, high 1.04. Body-profile index = figure coefficient (male 1.00, female 0.65) × √(body weight ÷ 75) × build coefficient (lean 0.95, regular 1.00, broad 1.05). The body factor is (1 ÷ index)^0.25, limited to 0.90–1.20. Each selected discomfort adds 3%, capped at 12%. Height changes the figure only. These coefficients are PadelTrue modelling choices, not measurements of your grip strength. The displayed range comes from the manufacturer’s weight range, not a confidence interval. Use the estimate as a starting point for trying a racket.

    ABOUT RACKET LAB

Padel racket weight, balance and your next change

Racket Lab compares a padel racket’s published weight with an illustrative felt-weight estimate. Choose a model, explore the profile settings and see the manufacturer’s weight range alongside the estimate. The formula and its assumptions are available above.

The estimate is not a measurement of your strength or swingweight, and it cannot predict whether a racket will relieve pain. Height changes the figure only. Weigh your own racket to find its actual weight.
