12K or 18K?

For the 2026 teardrop models, Nox recommends the 12K Alum Xtrem for a firmer feel and the 18K Alum for a balance of control, power and comfort. These are manufacturer descriptions, not our own play-test findings. noxsport.com

The spec sheets agree. For 2026 Nox lists the 12K Xtrem as "Intermedio-Duro" and the 18K as "Intermedio". Shape, weight and thickness are the same. An older Nox guide says a higher K adds a little rigidity. That was a general remark about carbon, not about these two rackets, so use the 2026 guide for this choice. See them side by side.

In short: choose on firmness, not on the number. Softer feel, take the 18K. Firmer, take the 12K Xtrem.

Attack or standard?

The Attack is a different racket, not a stronger version of the same one. It is diamond shaped with a high balance, where the standard Genius is a teardrop. On our ratings the Attack leans hard toward power and gives up control, handling and forgiveness. Asked here: thread 1, thread 2, thread 3.

In short: the standard Genius is the all-round racket. Take the Attack only if you finish most points overhead.

Is it a good racket for a beginner?

Nox lists the Genius models as "Profesional" level. They rate in the lower half of the index for forgiveness. Asked here: thread 1, thread 2, thread 3.

In short: not as a first racket. If you want to stay in the family, the AT10 Pro Cup Soft has the same shape with a soft feel and a fibreglass face, rates far higher for forgiveness and comfort, and costs less.

2026 or 2027?

Prices as last checked, both from the maker's own store. The 2026 prices are reduced from their list price. This table compares selected spec fields, not every technology or construction detail. Matching fields do not prove identical rackets. Follow each model to see its sources.

The Genius 18K Alum 2027 comparison covers the new VCS handle system, the maker's conflicting feel descriptions and the price difference. Matching basic specs do not prove that two generations play the same. An older model can be the better value if it suits you and you do not need the changes.

Does it break easily?

Several threads report cracks and faces going soft, and one is titled "Never buy a Nox racket". Asked here: thread 1, thread 2, thread 3. Other players in the same threads report no problems after long use.

We have no data on how often any racket fails, and neither does anyone posting. Forum reports come from the people who had a problem. What you can do: buy from a seller the maker lists, keep the receipt, and check the warranty terms before you buy.
